our story

Two dear friends. One crazy idea.
Raphaël brought Club Maté to Belgium over ten years ago, and never stopped thinking about it. Marcel spent five years brewing kombucha, chasing new flavours.

In their discussion, one question kept coming up: what if we just made our own? So they did. Chouette Canette was born, rooted in three simple values: transparency, taste and innovation.

A year after launch, Marcel went all in...
​leaving Smile Kombucha to focus on Chouette Canette full time. He brought along Arthur Ries, founder of Beerstorming, fresh from selling his brewery and ready for the next adventure.

Today, Marcel and Arthur are on the ground, building the brand day by day, winning over consumers, challenging the soft drink status quo, reduce sugar consumption and bringing bold new flavours to the table.
